The Windsor Locks Fire Department website has been upgraded with a brand new interface which will allow us to go forward with much more capability on the web. There are many new features which I will detail at a later date.

I am still working on converting a few things from the old site, so you may not find everything you are looking for right now. Mainly the photo galleries, which we have a great deal of, have to all be converted to the new database driven media gallery that is on the new site. [ full story ]

Hopefully they will be completed within the week. There are also a few pages that need to be converted, but for the most part all the pages from the old site have been moved over. Some have been consolidated to make the site more efficient.

I also have to overhaul the email system to help eliminate most of the spam emails that are going around. One nice feature of this new site is that there are no visible email addresses and the group emails will now be sent only from the website. There will no longer be an actual email address for the members group. Instead you will log into the web site and send your group email from a special mail function on the site.

During the conversion process its possible that some hyperlinks may be incorrect and not work now. I am trying my best to make sure I test all links, but if you find one that doesn't work, please let me know. I am sure I will overlook a couple.
