The Town of Windsor Locks Volunteer Firefighters proudly carry on the 120 year old tradition started by our forefathers of, answering the alarm, serving our neighbors and protecting the citizens of the town. The volunteer firefighters that staff the department consistently respond to 500 calls a year. Being a volunteer firefighter requires a considerable amount of time away from our families whether responding to emergency calls or keeping our training up to date. Our dedication and sacrifice results in providing you with the finest emergency services possible.
Not only do we respond to fires, but we are also called upon to help with automobile accidents, hazardous material incidents, carbon monoxide alarms, propane leaks, storm damage incidents and many others.
Our biggest fund raising event has always been our annual carnival, fireworks display and raffle. However, problems associated with our annual raffle forced us to eliminate it from the carnival. Because of this, your support is needed in the form of a tax deductible financial contribution. We are on call 24 hours a day assisting our fellow citizens of Windsor Locks, and now we are asking for your help.

WLFD Annual Carnival

The 2011 Carnival will be held on July 7, 8, and 9th. The fireworks display will be held on Friday July 8th at 9:30pm and the parade on Saturday July 9th at 6:15pm. The department members would like to thank everyone for your continued support and a special thanks to all the sponsors who make our events possible.
Annual Christmas Tree Sale
Our Annual Christmas Tree Sale runs from Thanksgiving weekend through Christmas at the entrance of the Public Safety Complex on Elm St. As a special service to residents of Windsor Locks, we offer free delivery of your tree. Where else can you find a deal like that. Come down pick out your tree, help support the fire department and we will deliver your tree to your door step.
